Eden Grace Hill was born on March 5, 2010 at 11:01 am. She weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 19 inches long. She was actually around 3 weeks old in these pics. I am working on uploading all my pics from the day of the birth. Eden is a wonderful addition to our family and it is very different having two children as opposed to only having one! It is extremely hard but I am very thankful for such a beautiful, healthy, baby!

Snow Day, 2/12/10

Here are a few pics of Brooks from yesterday's snow. I think he was a little afraid of it for some reason. He really didn't like touching it. He kept saying, "pretty snow". This was just enough snow for me! It's almost all melted out of the front yard as of now. So, hopefully no more snow until next year!

Brooks' 2nd Birthday Party...

This past Sunday we celebrated Brooks' 2nd Birthday with family and friends. He was very excited and is still singing the Happy Birthday song to him self! I can't believe he is two year's old! Time is definitely flying by. Pretty soon we will have two kids, scary! Thanks to our wonderful family and friends that made this day special!

Trip to see Santa, 2009...

Today we took Brooks to see Santa. This was an experience to remember! The line was pretty long and we couldn't keep him entertained, the only thing that did was the speakers hidden in the flower arrangements. He was dancing and head banging to the Christmas music the whole time until he started screaming at the end. Then he wouldn't crack a smile for the camera. Oh well, I tried! I think the terrible two's are upon us for sure!

Elliott's First Birthday!!!

This past Saturday, we went to visit Miss Elliott for her first birthday. We had a good time and she got a ton of gifts. I can't believe it has already been a year since she was born! Time really does fly by...I look forward to seeing Elliott and Brooks grow up together and can't wait when our new baby girl gets here in March!

Mom's Day Out Halloween Party

Yesterday, Brooks had his Halloween Party at Mom's Day Out. It was funny seeing all of the little ones dressed in their costumes. Brooks wasn't in a very good mood since he was missing his nap but I think he had a pretty good time and he loved the little jumpy thing! I think next year he will really enjoy Halloween, hopefully he will understand the concept a little more by then!

An Afternoon at the Park

Today we decided I should take a break from studying and take Brooks to the park. He loves to throw rocks into the water. He likes to see them produce a splash! We then went to the play area so he could slide. He loves to slide. He would giggle everytime he slid down. It was so funny...I can't believe how big he is getting. I was watching him today and he is turning into a little boy! It's strange, but unfortunately I guess everyone has to grow up someday I just wish it didn't happen so fast!

Story Time

Last week we went to Story Time at the Hoover Library. We met Lynn and John Thomas there. It was a really cute little activity time for them. I think they had a pretty good time and we will definitely go back hopefully this week if not next. The picture of Brooks in the carseat was taken in line at the bank. I ALWAYS pick the wrong line, that's the story of my life! So, I figured I would make use of "idle" time and take a pic of Mr. Messy with his chocolate covered pretzel face!

Mt. Laurel Harvest Festival 2009

It's been a while since my last post because with school, pregnancy, and Brooks I really don't have time to do this anymore! Plus we need a new camera if anyone can suggest a good brand that doesn't cost a fortune! Anyways, yesterday we went to the Mt. Laurel Harvest Festival with Allison, Elliott, and Mrs. Jones. We had a good time except the kiddos were a little ill! Elli was so good, she just sat in her stroller and didn't complain. Brooks on the other hand was not happy when we stopped to shop and he constantly threw his cup down for me to bend over and get! I told him I wouldn't be doing that much longer, pretty soon I'll be to huge to bend over! We had a good time and it was a beautiful day! I love fall and I am looking forward to being outdoors for activities this time of year!

McWane Center with Aunt Abbi!

Today Aunt Abbi and our cousin Ashley took Brooks to the McWane center. They said he had a good time and loved some sort of magnetic wall they had there. Brooks loves his Aunt and loves spending time with her. We plan to take him back soon to see a new ocean exhibit they will be having!

We had a pretty busy weekend for the 4th this year. Allison, Trent and little Elliott came to see us on Friday to grill and hang out. I don't have any pics of that I'll have to steal them from Allison when she uploads them! Brooks and Elliott were so funny! I can't wait for them to play together more when she gets a little older. She holds her own though and will be walking very soon! Saturday we went and met our friends Blake, Stephanie and little Rylee. She is about the same age as Brooks and they had a blast. We went to the Trussville fireworks show. It was really neat. They had a stage set up with bands and then a ton of things for the kids to do, plus food. We were worried that Brooks would be afraid of the fireworks because they were loud but he loved them. Plus he was so tired at that point I don't think he really cared! I am trying to upload a video when I figure that out!

Orange Beach '09

Here are some of the pics from our vacation this year. We went to Orange Beach and stayed at The Turquoise Place. We really enjoyed it this time because Brooks seemed to like it more. He was happy to be on the beach in his baby pool under our pavillion and he also liked swimming this time. He absolutely loved the lazy river at our condo and the indoor pool. I know next year it will be even better. Hopefully he will like the sand a little more! He played a little in it this time but you could tell he still was a little leary of it. We had a great time with my family and we really appreciate everything they do for us. We can't wait to get back to the beach and we hope to move there sometime soon!!!

We went to an egg hunt at Shadow lake in McCalla on Saturday and we were planning on attending church on Sunday morning but Brooks woke up with a 102 degree fever so we didn't end up going. He thought the Easter bunny was interesting at first and then he decided he didn't like her very much! It was hilarious!

Spring Break, '09...

I made a last minute decision to go to Orange Beach with my parents, sister and her boyfriend. Chris had to work so he couldn't go this time. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather! For those of you who know me well, you know I LOVE the beach. I would seriously consider moving there if we knew we would have jobs, etc., but I don't think my son shares my love for the beach yet! He hated the sand. Everytime I tried to set him down to play, he screamed and tried to draw his legs up. It was funny and pitiful all at the same time! Poor little guy! Needless to say we are re-thinking our vacation plans for this summer. It may turn into an all adult trip!

Just let everyone know, we haven't fallen off the face of the earth. We did get settled into the new house last Sunday and it has been crazy! We are still waiting on internet installation so if you need us just call!!! Hopefully I'll be back to blogging with pics soon. Also, Brooks is scheduled to see the pediatric plastic surgeon on March 12th for a consultation to remove the cyst on his face. Please keep us in your thougts and prayers. Even though the doctor's keep telling us that it is nothing serious we are still worried because the fact is that it is a still a surgery and that he has to be put to sleep for. Hopefully everything will go well with no complications.

It's hard to believe that Brooks is a year old. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital. It has been a hard but great year. Chris and I have learned a lot as new parents and now I really appreciate everything my parents did for me! Well here are a few pics from the party. Brooks' first christmas turned out to be great! We were extremely busy but nonetheless he still managed to rack up on the gifts from Santa, Nana Rae, and other family members. I know next year will be even more fun because then he will actually have a clue as to what is going on!

Last week we went to try and have a few pictures made for Christmas cards. It is just too hard to have a baby and a dog and two other people look good in one picture! We picked one for the card and it is ok. Maybe we'll have better luck next year!

Today, little Miss Elliott Elizabeth Jones decided to make her debut! Allison and Trent are both doing well and are extremely proud parents! Elliott weighed 8lbs 14 oz. I am so happy for Allison and Trent and can't wait for Brooks to get to know his new buddy!

We finally bought Brooks a swing for outside. I have been talking about it all summer and I just got around to buying one last week. He really loves to swing high but he holds on for dear life, it's hilarious! We also bought the cutest old man hat. He wore it last week to Christmas Village and every old lady that was there had to come up to him and pinch those cheeks!

This year Brooks was a spider. It was his first Halloween but he didn't seem too excited! He was really fussy so we just decided to go Trick-or-Treating around my mom's neighborhood. I think maybe next year he will have more fun!

Daddy gave Brooks his bath today, which rarely happens. I was wondering why it was taking so long, then I walked in the kitchen to find that Daddy was making bubble mohawks! Maybe one day Brooks will have real hair to make mohawks with!!!

Yesterday, Chris and I went to Talladega with a good friend of ours. He actually had really expensive tickets that he had gotten for free so we decided to go. This past Saturday we went to the Auburn vs. LSU game. Auburn lost but we still had a great time. This was the first big game I have been to in a long time. Now I'm looking forward to the Georgia game!!

Brooks wanted to show his Tiger pride today! I am extremely excited that Chris and I are getting to go to the first Auburn game this season! It is so special as an alumni to go back to Auburn for games. It brings back a lot of great memories and I can't wait! Brooks will be staying with Nana Rae but hopefully he can go to his first game next season. WAR EAGLE!!!!!

Well, since my computer has been screwed up so long I have a lot of blogging to catch up on. Two weeks ago we went to see John Thomas and Coleman at Lynn's house. It was so funny to see the boys playing. It was also strange to be sitting there with some of your oldest friends and now our conversation centers around our kids. We had a good time and hopefully we can all get together again soon!

Baby's First July 4th

This year for the 4th, we went to my uncles house on Lake Martin. I haven't been in about two years so it was nice. Brooks really liked the water, more so than the water at the beach. Probably because it was warmer. We had a nice relaxing time, well if you can have a relaxing time with a 5 month old baby! Brooks kept trying to drink the lake water out of his crab float. Gross!!!
